Fatima

Fatima is an experienced advocate, strategist, and crisis management expert with a background spanning political campaigns, civil rights advocacy, and corporate communications. She has worked with leading PR agencies such as Hill & Knowlton and Porter Novelli, as well as independently advising high-profile clients on crisis management, media relations, and public affairs.

Her corporate clients have included Walmart, PG&E, Samsung, Gap Inc., Hewlett-Packard, and AT&T, where she provided strategic counsel in crisis response, policy negotiations, and media strategy. Fatima has engaged with international agencies and governments, negotiating on behalf of her clients to drive policy and business outcomes while successfully navigating high-stakes public crises.

Beyond the corporate sector, Fatima has been deeply involved in civil rights advocacy, leading initiatives to combat police brutality, hate crimes, unconstitutional policies, surveillance, and prisoners’ rights abuses. She has also worked to bridge the corporate and nonprofit worlds, securing funding and strategic partnerships to support social impact initiatives. Passionate about policy and environmental advocacy, she has also trained clean-tech companies on navigating federal environmental regulations and political landscapes.

Fatima’s career began in Senator Ted Kennedy’s press office, where she worked on education policy and the Patients' Bill of Rights. She later played key roles in political campaigns, serving as Director of Ethnic Outreach for Gen. Wes Clark’s presidential campaign and conducted political outreach for John Kerry’s presidential run through the Michigan Coordinated Campaign.

In her downtime, Fatima enjoys experimenting with new culinary cuisines and exploring new places with her two elementary aged children. She’s currently learning how to play tennis so she can keep up with the rest of her family on the court.
