Hello,

Today I write to you on behalf of the 417 children under 5 who have died due to COVID-19 over the past two years. Their lives are irreplaceable. Their parents and families will mourn their devastating loss for the rest of their lives. Any death from now on is preventable and we are not willing to wait until child 418 is buried to make a change. Children are continuing to suffer from MIS-C, neurological damage, type 1 diabetes, and long COVID due to delays in clinical trials. The narrative that children are not affected by COVID-19 is a complete and utter fallacy. Countless children in this age group are at high risk for severe disease. We need to give these families options immediately. These vaccines have proven time and again to be safe. We have been one step behind this virus for the past two years, now is our chance to act and get kids protected before the next variant arises. We must be proactive instead of reactive. Thank you for your consideration and I hope the FDA acts in a manner that puts our children’s health and well being as their top priority.
